At this year’s Society for Neuroscience conference (SFN) in Washington D.C., Don presented his recent research project on empathy, conducted through the Eagleman Lab for Perception and Action at Baylor College of Medicine.   This particular study examines whether the simple act of applying religious labels to an observed person (e.g. “Christian” or “Muslim”) modulates the empathic response within a subject’s neural network.
